Everyone has those days when you just can’t seem to raise your enthusiasm. What sets the successful person apart from the unsuccessful is the desire and ability to do something about it.
I’ve gathered below some of the most useful techniques which I have used to change my mental and emotional state.
Do at least one of these things at the start of each day, or as needed. Enjoy!
- Make a list of ten things that you are grateful for.
- Write a list of five people who have helped you in the last week.
- Write down three big things that you have achieved in your life.
- Smile at five people today.
- Hug three people today.
- Write down three really nice times that you have had in your life.
- Spend at least 5 minutes listening to someone else without interrupting.
- Stroke a cat or dog.
- Help someone when they don’t expect it.
- Tell at least three people that you appreciate them and/or what they do.
- Write down the difference you have made to at least three people’s lives.
- Find a programme on the TV about someone who has overcome adversity and write down what you admire about him or her.
- Read someone’s autobiography.
